REX PLUS ELECTRONIC WATCHDOG Electronic Radar Watchdog
In a recent UK Government prison poll, dozens of professional house burglars were asked: 'Which is more of a deterrent - an alarm system or dog?' It was quite a surprise when some 75% said they would always avoid a house with a dog. But not everyone can afford an animal or give it the time, space and affection it deserves. 'The unit, which is made from very tough plastic, can be placed anywhere in the house - its radar - that detects motion (from behind closed doors) is absolutely superb and works up to a distance of 25-30ft. Once it detects motion, for example someone starts to approach the house - the dog barks - quietly at first... then stops. If the person continues approaching the door the barking gets louder and goes on for longer. I found doors, windows, thick walls and other solid obstacles were not obstructive to its electronic radar eyes.
'Rex' sensitivity and audible bark can also be adjusted by the simple turn of a button. I 'tipped-toed' towards my house after turning the unit on in the living room. As I walked towards the front door Rex barked! I stopped - so too did Rex. When I continued Rex came to life... though his bark grew more threatening and intense. The barking is extremely realistic unlike similar units which I have come across.
'I suspect it has other applications as well. It can be placed in work premises that are left unattended, or I can even envisage caravan owners taking one along on holidays - just in case!'
When Rex is not operational, a switch enables the playing of the tranquil sounds of nature, rain forests etc.
Rex is one of the best home protection units you could ever purchase - its low price makes it affordable to everyone.
