David Hamer currently serves as Vice-Chairman of Acquisitions at the
National Cryptologic Museum Foundation [NCMF], which supports NCM - the
museum of the National Security Agency [NSA] - at Fort George G. Meade in
Maryland. He is also the foundation's Liaison Officer with Bletchley Park
[BP] and with GCHQ's internal museum in Cheltenham.
In 2000 David was appointed Visiting Research Scholar by the BP Trust and
recently joined the Editorial Board of Cryptologia. He lectures widely on
both sides of the Atlantic and has published techno-historical articles on
classical military and civilian code and cipher systems. He has appeared in
media productions dealing with cryptology, in both the UK and the USA.
